Research Interests

My research interests are in the area of CAD/CAM/CAI (Computer-Aided Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection) with emphasis on:

  • Highly flexible and direct CAD modeling
  • Three-axis and five-axis CNC machining
  • Computational tools for 3D printing and 3D laser scanning

Current Research Work

  • Multi-axis CNC machining simulation and process verification
  • Generic postprocessor development for multi-axis machine tools
  • Optimal printing paths and adaptive infill structures for 3D printing
